The INLNA 2020 Calendar was created with the intention of providing members with a very basic introduction to the Icelandic language with conversation starters and basic vocabulary. The best way to achieve this is to also provide the audio, so you can hear how the pronunciation of how the words sound. Each month the INLNA will post audio files to the website that cover the monthly dialogues and corresponding vocabulary, as well as the word of the day for each month. The monthly word of the day lists will also be available to download or print with the corrections and updates mentioned in the audio.

Edda was born and raised on a farm in Iceland. She is a teacher, a folklorist and has a masters degree in Library and Information Science. Her thesis was on Western-Icelandic Cultural Heritage. She is also a yoga teacher. In her free time Edda likes hiking the hills and heaths of Iceland, and if there are sheep around, she’ll be even happier, as sheep are her favourite animals. Edda currently lives in Reykjavík, Iceland.
Natalie Fame Guttormsson

Natalie was born and raised in the Okanagan Valley in British Columbia. She is a Western Icelander/Vestur Íslendingur through her maternal grandfather’s family. Natalie is a web developer and designer and also has a Bachelor’s degree in International Development Studies and Hispanic Studies. She is also a mother and a writer and her favourite animal is the raven. Natalie currently lives in Reykjavík, Iceland.
