Þorrablót 2024 | Edmonton

Join your fellow members of the Icelandic Canadian Club of Edmonton to celebrate the winter feast of Þorrablót!

We will celebrate our Icelandic roots together with a dinner and a program including games, songs, traditions and treats.

We are very pleased to announce our keynote speaker: Professor Natalie Van Deusen, Program Advisor for Scandinavian, Norwegian, and Swedish at the University of Alberta will be speaking to us about her recent year in Iceland. We will also have a presentation from last year's Snorri participants.

WHERE: Norwood Legion

11150 82 St NW, Edmonton, AB T5B 2V1

TIME: Doors and cash bar will open at 5 p.m.

Please note the following change for this year’s Þorrablót celebration. Public health regulations do not permit us to bring our own meats and fish to a catered event, and so we are unable to serve rúllupylsur or other meats as we have previously done. While we will miss these traditional treats, our Icelandic desserts will still be offered.

Tickets are available from the website at https://iccedm.org/events/
