The Icelandic American Association of Minnesota (IAAMN) was founded in 1994, to promote Icelandic culture, past and present, to support events that celebrate Icelandic culture and strengthen appreciation of Icelandic heritage, and to provide an organization for anyone interested in Iceland.

We are active members of the Icelandic National League of North America.

Wednesday, July 13th 3:30 pm to 7:30 pm

The week of July 11 through 17, soccer teams arrive in the Twin Cities from Iceland.  The teams will be participating in the Schwann's USA Cup.

Tuesday night, June 12th, 7:00 pm is the Opening Ceremony at the Arena at the National Sports Center in Blaine.  It is very much like the Opening Ceremony at the Olympics.  Stony has attended and recommends this opportunity which includes teams from around the World.

Soccer Tournament at the National Sports Center in Blaine

The Icelandic American Association of Minnesota will be holding a "MEET and GREET" on Wednesday, July 13th at Lakeside Commons Park and Beach in Blaine.  The park has been reserved from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm.  There will be a barbecue picnic at dinner time. 

Bring a salad or dessert to share.  $5.00 charge if bringing something to share. 
Adults $10.00, Children $6.00

DINNER/Barbecue   swimming, splash pad,        beach house,   volleyball        Boathouse with canoe & kayak rental,         playground, Meet and Greet Minnesotans and Icelanders!

Area Soccer Players, and families, are encouraged to attend and meet the visiting soccer players

Schwann's USA Cup Soccer Tournament Information

Travel between Lakeside Commons Park and National Sports Center is 2 miles.

Anyone can attend the games!  No admittance fees!  No parking fees.  Consider attending the games.  Games are around 90 minutes each. 

Game Schedules will be shared as soon as they arrive.
