The Stephan G. Stephansson Icelandic Society turns 50 this year. We are celebrating with a GALA evening in Spruce View Hall.

Please join us on September 28, 2024, to celebrate all that has been achieved over the past 50 years. These achievements have kept the unique history and heritage of the Icelandic settlement of Markerville alive and shareable with the public.

This Gala evening will include a four-course plated dinner including a special Scandinavian appetizer. During the social hour, a complimentary drink of Akvavit with a side of pickled herring will be offered.  

There will be a limited cash bar serving a special “Golden Anniversary Cocktail or Mocktail" along with Wine and Beer. 

Following the meal, there will be greetings, musical renditions on the Harp by Janet Lutz, and a presentation of SGSIS history.

Ticket Price: $85/pp or $600.00/ table for 8.
