Youth Mobility Opportunities between Iceland and Canada

A webinar on the new Youth Mobility Arrangement between Iceland and Canada and the opportunities it represents for youth in both countries.

During this webinar panelists from Iceland and Canada will introduce the new Youth Mobility Arrangement (YMA) signed between the two countries in 2023 and discuss the opportunities it represents for Icelandic and Canadian youth between the ages of 18 and 30.

Now open to applications from Canadian and Icelandic citizens, the YMA is designed to promote and facilitate access to opportunities that enable youth to gain a better understanding of the other country’s culture, society and languages through travel, work and life experience abroad.

The webinar will open with an overview of the YMA by Icelandic and Canadian officials. They will speak to its objectives while focusing on who can apply and how. Speakers will then share information on relevant job opportunities and share personal insights into what it is like to travel and work in both countries. It will close with a Q&A session with the audience.
